Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park
Access
The closest route into the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park leads on the C15 via Gochas to the border post at Mata Mata which is open during the day. The border crossing formalities are not done in Mata Mata, but only in Twee Rivieren, the main camp on the South African side of the park. To enter the park via Mata Mata one has to be able to present proof for an accommodation booking for at least two nights within the Transfrontier Park. Important: If you can't produce an entry stamp in your passport, when leaving South Africa again, you are going to face considerable problems.

Mata Mata Restcamp
The restcamp Mata Mata offers a shady campground, chalets, petrol station, grocery shop and a swimming pool.

Rates: Self-catering chalets with 1 bedroom (2 to 4 persons), kitchenette with dining nook, shower/toilet. Base rate for 2 persons approximately 550 Rand. Camping about 200 Rand for 2 persons.
