Tiras Mountains

South-west of Helmeringhausen between C13 and D707 lie the Tiras Mountains, largely unknown to general tourism. The bizarre massif of dark granite borders a wide plain and is very impressive. A couple of farms have joined to form the Tiras Mountain Conservancy, more than a hundred thousand hectares in size. They offer mountain hikes (also guided hikes), camping and accommodation on a small scale.
