Airport
Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport (IATA: WDH, ICAO: FYWH) lies 45 kilometres north-east of Windhoek. A second airport, the Eros Airport, lies in town. It is used for national flights.

Transfers
There are usually enough taxis at the airport. Rented cars can be received at the airport, but 4x4's are not allowed on the premises. The rental companies usually collect their customers from the airport and take them to their depots. Shuttle busses Hosea Kutako Airport are there to take visitors to town. Tel 061-302007.

Flight Connections

Air Namibia flies regularly, mostly daily, from Windhoek to Keetmanshoop, Walvis Bay, Katima Mulilo, Victoria Falls, Maun, Johannesburg and Cape Town. Tel 061-2996614.

Entry Visa
For Europeans the visum for the duration of the visit is stamped into the passport at the airport. The passport must still be valid for at least six months.

Money

There is a currency exchange counter in the airport building. Numerous banks are to be found in town. The Namibia Dollar is linked to the South African Rand (1:1). You will get at present about 10 N$ per Euro. Means of payment: travellers' cheques, credit cards, cash.
