Flights to Namibia

Long-distance flights from Europe to southern Africa - approx. 10.000 flight kilometres - take between 10 and 12 hours. Big advantage: Europeans won't be troubled by jetlag.


Direct flight to Windhoek
Direct flights offers the national airline Air Namibia. With their A340 airbusses they fly six times a week directly from Frankfurt to Windhoek. Departure is in the evening, arrival early the next morning. Air Berlin also flies non-stop to Windhoek, Departure from Munich in the evening, arrival early the next morning.

Traffic Hub Johannesburg
All other airlines, e.g. Lufthansa, SAA, KLM, Swiss, British Airways, service Windhoek only via Johannesburg, which lengthens the travel time from 10 to 13 or even 14 hours, but is usually cheaper.



Connecting Flights from Windhoek
Air Namibia flies from Windhoek daily to Keetmanshoop, Katima Mulilo, Oshakati, Walvis Bay, Lüderitz, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Maun, Gaborone and Victoria Falls.

Ticket Prices
Flights for a return flight to Namibia vary between 700 and 1500 Euro, depending on the season and the airline. Most expensive is the peak season from December to the middle of January and during the European school holidays.
