Ai-Ais / Fish River

Access The thermal hot springs of Ai-Ais lie in the southern part of the Fish River nature conservation area. It is best accessed via the B1. Near Grünau turn off on to the C10. Ai-Ais lies at the end of this untarred road (73 kilometres). The spa resort is also the end of the strenuous 90km Fish River Hiking Trail, which takes one into the heart of the 2nd largest canyon in the world. The restcamp is open from March 15 to October 31. Booking recommended.
For the use of the indoor pools a fee of 20 N$ per day is payable (children pay half price).  Ai-Ais RestcampThe restcamp has been redeveloped recently. It offers resort-style accommodation now only. No self-catering accommodation is available any more. However there are still camping facilities. One can indulge in a peaceful and healing experience amongst breathtaking scenery. There is also a restaurant, bar, an outside swimming pool, a playground and tennis courts on the premises. Day visitors must leave the camp latest at 11pm. The restaurant is open from 7 to 9; 12 to 14 and 6 to 10 pm. Bigger groups are supposed to book at least 24 hours in advance.
