Nyae Nyae Conservancy
Here you can encounter the Ju/'hoansi San (Bushmen) living in their traditonal ways as hunters and gatherers. Meet these friendly people and gain an insight into their traditions and culture in a remote, though wonderful part of Namibia. The visitor can witness trackings, animal observation at waterholes, elephant tracking, traditional hunting, finding water in plants and the collection and preparation of fieldplants. In the evenings you can enjoy their music and their dances, for example the elephant, the porcupine and the melon dance.
There are two pristine campgrounds, Djokhoe and Makuri, with very basic facilities, barbecue places and toilets. The fee is 35 N$ per person per night. Please bring your own water!
