Tsondab Valley & African Blue Sky Safaris -Namib Naukluft (Namibia)

Tsondab Valley is a panoramic piece of desert and dune landscape on the edge of the Namib Naukluft Park. Safari operator AFRICAN Blue Sky SAFARIS is based here. For your personal desert experience join us for a drive through the dune valleys of our nature reserve. We also offer scenic flights from our own airstrip.

Accommodation: At Tsondab Valley we have built in accordance with nature. Our 3 en-suite guest bungalows will easily resist any intractability of nature with high ceilings and massive walls. Additionally, they give a nice appearance in the surrounding desert landscape. The roof forms an open-air terrace, which can be reached through a stairway along the outside walls. So even if you are afraid of crawling ground animals, you may safely enjoy the stary African skies at night on top of your rondavel!

Camping at Tsondab Valley is an unforgettable nature experience! Our premises consist of 3 separate campsites, conveniently situated under acacia trees with wind protection, water tab, movable fireplace & stone table. Exclusive views over the Camelthorn Valley & dunes from every site.

Facilities: During the hot time of the day our guests enjoy a refreshing bath in the large natural pool. Let us introduce you to a variety of delicious dishes - preferably Namibian game - of our good German-Namibian kitchen.
Visitors especially appreciate our open-air showers, (hot & cold water), which are skillfully integrated into the caves as part of the limestone plateau underneath the farmhouse. Open views to the stars & dunes plus intimicy in harmony with nature guaranteed!

Location: Tsondab Valley is conveniently situated directly on the main road connecting the costal towns of Walvis Bay & Swakopmund with Namibia's major attraction Sossusvlei. You will find the entrance gate at the T-junction of C14 Walvis Bay - Solitaire & D1275, which leads down Spreetshoogte Pass in a westerly direction. Solitaire, known to all Namibia travellers with its nostalgic shop & fuel station, is only 8 km away.

From the entrance gate it is another 20 minutes' drive (18km) through our fascinating desert landscape. No 4x4 necessary, but drive carefully.
