 The Twyfelfontein region is famous for some of the best bushman drawings and rock etchings in southern Africa. Interesting rock formations and the remainders of prehistoric volcanic activity include the Organ Pipes, the Burnt Mountain, the Doros Crater and the Petrified Forest. Desert
elephant, rhino, giraffe, springbok and ostrich are just some of the animals one encounters here, living in harmony with the humans.
The lodge lies in the heart of the Twyfelfontein Uibasen Nature Conservation area, offering 56 double rooms with bath, reception, lounge, curio shop, open dining room, bar and swimming pool. In the planning stages of the lodge the object was to disturb the appearance of the natural surrounding as little as possible. Thatch roofs, natural stone and the colours of the earth were used with the result that the lodge blends in harmoniously with the mountainous landscape.
