The Guesthouse was the first accommodation establishment in the town of Kamanjab, serving mainly local travelling businessmen and government officials with business in the local villages and surrounding area. Kamanjab has a population of around 6012 people within the village and the surrounding farmlands, businesses include 2 supermarkets, 2 liquor stores, butchery, a fuel station and a vehicle service garage. As our town serves as a gateway to Etosha, the coast and Damara & Kaokoland, we are proud to have the privilege of welcoming you to our town and guesthouse and hope that your stay with us will be comfortable and enjoyed.
Accommodation: All rooms are ensuite and are adequately furnished with bedding, towels and pool towels for your comfort. Blankets are provided and coffee/tea stations’ available on the dresser.
Facilities: Garden, swimming pool. The lounge offers a full DSTV bouquet service available at any time for your leisure. Telephone service and Internet are available from reception. Laundry.
Restaurant & Bar: Breakfast is served from 7am Monday-Friday and from 8am on weekends & public holidays. Lunch is served from 12-14h00. Dinner is served from 18-21h00. Lunch pack service including a small juice, sandwich, chocolate bar, boiled egg, schnitzel and small salad. The bar stocks the basics to quench a thirsty traveller. |
Game Drives & Croc Feedings: About 3 km from town you can enjoy a game drive on a farm where you have the opportunity to see Eland, Kudu, Oryx, Gnu, Springbok and Giraffe among other plains game or meet the croc for a feeding on Saturday morning.
Himba Orphan Village Visit: Situated on our family farm, a guided Himba excursion will not only give you an in depth insight into the life and ways of the last nomadic tribe in Namibia, but offer a great photographic opportunity as well. You will learn about the jewellery and hairstyles imitating the status of each tribe member and their close relationship with nature, their cattle and their children.
Peet Albert’s Rock engravings: An interesting rock engraving site more than 2000 years old is situated about 5km from town. Around 1500 paintings have been discovered in that area and the site have been declared a national monument.
